Yashasvi Jaiswal and captain Shubman Gill have both scored hundreds, putting India on pace for a high first innings total. For the past fifty years, Rishabh Pant has also been undefeated.
On a batting-friendly field, England’s bowlers have had trouble keeping the runs down. They will need to take a ton of wickets on the second day of play in order to get back into the game.
